But before getting pregnant again, I remember inquiring about birth-order issues at a LLL meeting, and the leader felt VERY strongly that it is a huge disservice to children to space them less than 3 years apart. I'm so glad that I never attended another meeting and ignored what she said! Another great post, Erin.

Our first 2 kids are 22 months apart and they have an amazing relationship with each other. But before getting pregnant again, I remember inquiring about birth-order issues at a LLL meeting, and the leader felt VERY strongly that it is a huge disservice to children to space them less than 3 years apart. I've broken a few rules myself....this adoption we're adopting out of birth order AND 'triplet-ing'. When the girls come home we'll have THREE kids all born in the first 5 months of 1998.
