Hi Erin, I just came accros your site and wanted to share some of my hair care products with you. I'm the ownwer of ARI Hair & Body (www.arihairandbody.com). We create natural hair and body products... that are scented to perfection! You seem to have found a product that works well for your kids. However, if you're looking to try something new please stop by and visit.

My products were created with my daughter in mind...she has very dry scalp and hair. And I too wanted a product to condition and moisturize, without being to greasy. Thus, I created my very first product "Hair Whip" it detangles and moisturizes the hair and scalp. The icing on the cake is the "almost edible" fragrance. If you're interested take a look! Let me know if I can answer any questions. Remember to Nurture with Nature!

FYI..I also have a YouTube Demo video ..just search ARI Hair & Body. Thanks!

Heidi,
These products would probably be ok on my older girls, although I am guessing that maybe some of the adult prodcuts might be more appropriate for them (they are 9 and 12). I would recommend the "butter me up"...we really like that one a lot! :)
Erin,
Would you consider their products for your older girls? They list BB5 as for Afro curls, yet the picture is still of a girl with pretty loose curls, not a tight afro. My daughter from Haiti has incredibly tight curls and I am looking for something to keep her hair softer.
Awesome!! I have been looking for a nice "inbetween" product. N's hair is still soft so it gets greasy easily.... I am sold!

While we don't have to deal with this since we are not a transracial family, I would love to maybe see some before and after pictures!! Besides, I am always a sucker for some cute little girl pictures!!!!!

Thank you so much for all the hair product advice. I ordered some of the hair balm from Carol's Daughter and I really like it. I will have to try this new line of products you mentioned!
