Love Thursday

For Love Thursday I thought I would share a picture of me and Big Daddy (aka Josh). This picture is a few years old...Josh has lost quite a bit of weight since this was taken (me...not so much).

We have been married for 10 1/2 years and have 10 kids...sometimes it amazes even me when I stop and think about it.

Along those lines, you can read one of my earliest Wendseday funnies here, that happens to be about Josh.

Josh and I got married young and we got married quickly. A lot of people did not think we were doing the right thing...some did not think we would last. They were wrong. :)

We have lived our lives a lot differently than many young couples...we've built a large family and we have built a transracial family...partially through adoption. We have never had a brand new car, we only have one television and we don't go on exotic vacations, but, we have a beautiful home that we take pride in and we certainly do not go without in any way.

We are truly the best of friends. We can be together 24/7 and we do not get tired of each other, and I miss him terribly whenever we are apart. We enjoy each other and have fun together, whether we are having a big adventure or not doing much of anything. He makes me laugh, he lets me cry and he knows my strengths and my weaknesses (and thinks I am great anyway). He cooks for me. We can talk about anything and everything and he is always there to back me up and support me. We have the same priorities, desires and goals. He knows me better than anyone.

He has a bigger heart than anyone else I know.

It is hard to think what my life would be like without him...if we had never met and gotten married so quickly almost 11 years ago.

I am so grateful for Big Daddy...I am grateful that he loves me, and grateful that our kids have him as their Dad.

And I am grateful that he has the same crazy vision of a "perfect family" as I do.
