Monday ramblings

Happy Monday faithful readers. :)

Sorry I haven’t written anything yet today… I have been having a hard time today deciding what to write about… I am trying really hard not to be one-track minded, but am having a hard time focusing for very long on anything that isn’t Belane related or related to our trip. I feel a lot like I did in those last few weeks of pregnancy…like everything is sort of on hold…however instead of waiting for my water to break, we are waiting on a signature.

So, since a bunch of you said you like hearing what goes on in our house, here are a few “funnies” from our place this weekend. I’ll try to put together some more thoughtful posts for tomorrow.

-Said by Ben (who by the way is NOT a picky eater at all) when asked how his school lunch was today, “Mom, tuna fish tastes like evil.”

There you go folks…if you’ve ever wondered what evil tastes like, it is apparently the tuna fish sandwich served at our elementary school.

-Seen running through the house at a very high speed- Josh, while holding Amanda (facing outwards, far away from his body), both of which were desperately trying to get to the bathroom before Amanda threw up. They made it to the bathroom, just in time for Amanda to hurl all over the closed toilet. It figures…that would be the one time in their entire lives one of my kids decided to close the toilet after they used it.

-Seen running through the house at a very high speed-Marcus, being chased by Amanda (who was feeling much better). Amanda was chasing Marcus, who decided that the metal “barf bowl” as it is affectionately called in our house, made lovely head gear. Luckily the afore-mentioned barf bowl had not been used after its last trip through the dishwasher.

-Seen on her knees praying- Me, praying feverishly that Amanda’s stomach episode was an isolated incident and not something that is going to go through the entire family. (I have said it before and I will say it again…the only times I feel like we have too many kids is when we are shoe shopping or when they are all throwing up at the same time.)

That’s all for now. More soon. :)

Thanks for the Monday Funnies - I really, really needed some funny in my day!

Here's a post idea for you (and it's Belane related): How do you envision your first few days home with her? Will you schedule doctor appointments and such or will you simply stay at home with her? Do you have things you will do with her to introduce her to the other kids? You get the idea!

My prayers are with you that there's no outbreak of vomiting that spreads through your family.

But you really stirred me to laughter with your stories! I agree with Ben - tuna fish DOES taste like evil. Well, at least it's not my favorite food. : )

My funny for the weekend? Watching my youngest son Caleb running through the pumpkin patch and BIFFING it! Then, there is the finest powder covering his smiling face. Our black boy turned white!
