It can take 12-18 months to get a homestudy done, and you must use the agency for your area, no shopping around. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
It is exceptionally rare to find a family that was approved to adopt more than 3x.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
It&#039;s so very different...sadly!&lt;br /&gt;

		<description>Don&#039;t forget to ask about cost of homestudy updates.  We had to pay for 3 different ones (for 2nd I-600A, special needs, and increasing number of children approved for).  It cost almost as much as the initial homestudy.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Also, get approved for one more than you&#039;re planning on accepting, just in case.</description>
