You may (or may not) have noticed that I have been doing some technical housekeeping around this blog. I have been adding and deleting categories, creating sub categories and moving posts around in an attempt to make information and specific posts somewhat easier to find on here.
I have broken down the "Big Issues" category into subcategories of "Being a Transracial Family", "Ethical Issues", "General Adoption Issues", "Health Issues", "Racial Issues" and "The Media."
I have broken down the "Resources" cateogry into "Articles to Read", "Blogs", "Books", "Events", "Opportunites to do Good", "Other", "Packing Lists", "Prodcuts", "Travel Tips and Info" and "Websites".
In an attempt to keep this blog more on-topic of transracial adoption and less of a personal blog, I have moved the "Day in the Life of Me" posts and other more personal posts about our family under "Parenting a big transracial family" and I put the posts from our adoption of Belane under "Special Needs Adoptions"- "HIV". For those interested in the more personal side of our family, life and adoptions, you can check out my
personal blog here.
I hope that these changes makes things easier for new readers and old readers alike to find specific posts and information on transracial and transcultural adoption that they may be looking for. If you need help finding a post or posts, please leave a comment and I will gladly help.
Also, if there is a category that you would like to see, I am always open to feedback and input. And, I am always open to questions for the "Questions and Answers" category (as long as they are related to transracial adoption). :)
Coming up this weekend I have a movie review of "Meet the Robinsons" (which had a very strong adoption theme that I was unaware of before we went to see it).
More soon!
